New Mexico
These photos were taken at a truly amazing place— Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is managed for the sake of the 40,000 some geese and 10,000 some sandhill cranes that stay there over the winter, making for fantastic photographic opportunities, and awe inspiring sights that bring us to tears.
