Dark Brooding Visions

As a child I grew up in Toledo Ohio and frequently visited the Toledo Art Museum. Since my home city at the time is the sister city to Toledo Spain, our Art Museum had on display the marvelous, dark, brooding vision captured in El Greco’s painting, View from Toledo [Spain.] Although the technique is not exactly chiaroscuro (one of my favorite words) but a related form characterized by dark brooding tone, with sharp contrast(s.) I offer these images as an homage to this tradition.
