My Cosmos gallery focuses on stars, moon, and stars near and far, visible to the naked eye, my wide-angle lens, or through a very powerful telescope, as in those in Flagstaff's famous Lowell Observatory. Starry nights make for compelling photos, especially when stars are visible above mountain peaks or clouds I enjoy shooting "star trails"— long exposure photos that capture the movement of the earth, which we experience as movement of stars. My ambition is to gain skill in shooting the Milky Way
Note: The peaks “holding up” the stars are the sacred San Francisco Peaks.
