Now the Long Exposure Series
This photo-heavy brief post contains two news items in my photographic and online life:
Snow has come
Long Exposure series has begun!
Yes it snows in (our part of) Arizona!
First news: A snowstorm affecting northern Arizona was great for this photogapher who loves landscapes!
I left home on Decemer 3 at 6 a.m. Driving eastward I came first to McMillan Mesa to catch the coloring of the sky around sunrise.
No snow visible in that photo below. I was pointing the camera "the wrong way"—southward. The snow was behind me, to the north.
Before I shot the much higher land of the San Francisco Peaks
The northward view was exactly what I wanted as I drove a few miles east ofaFlagstaff. I shot the next two photos from Townsend-Winona roada
(You might remember "Get your kicks on Route 66," which mentions Winona and Flagstaff Arizona.)
The San Francisco Peaks, sacred to at least a dozen tribes, were coverea with snow and partly obscured by mist. I love the sense of mystery that created!

NOW THE SECOND NEWS
